Luther Center Stage Series to host four childrens program performances in 2008-09 season
Luther College Center Stage Series will host four school matinees in the 2008-09 season, including performances of The Velveteen Rabbit, Mufaros Beautiful Daughters and Junie B. Jones, as well as a performance from the interactive acrobatic dance group Diavolo. All performances will take place in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the campus of Luther College. Luther College mens basketball team turns Trash into Treasure
Luther College held the fourth annual Trash into Treasure sale May 14-16 and May 19-20 in the Regents Center North Gym. Students were encouraged to leave items they no longer wanted in designated collection areas. This trash was then taken to the North Gym where it was resold to the community to become someone elses treasure. Alumni Corner
Anne Karsten 85, launched a painting by e-mail initiative and has been sharing her paintings inspired by items for sale on eBay. Her work is being shown in the Chicago area. For more information on the show and Karstens current paintings, visit www.annekarsten.com.
Jonathan Scott Drake 82, will receive the doctoral degree in forestry (wildlife science) from the University of Washington in June.
Weston Noble 43, was honored by Carthage College with an honorary doctorate of fine arts at the colleges baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies May 25.
