Luther Center Stage Series subscription tickets now on sale
Luther College Center Stage Series will bring 10 outstanding professional arts performances to the Center for Faith and Life stage for the 2008-09 season, including comedy, dance, epic drama, musical theater, and music ranging from jazz to bluegrass to gospel to classical string ensembles.

Luther Ultimate Frisbee summer camp registration deadline June 10
High school-age Ultimate Frisbee players have until June 10 to register for the Luther College Ultimate Frisbee Camp.

Luther Professor Freemans Julius Caesar published by Simon & Schuster
Simon & Shuster publishing company has announced the release of Julius Caesar, the latest book by Philip Freeman, professor of classics at Luther College. Freemans fascinating biography of the Western worlds best-known military-political leader is now available in bookstores nationwide and at all popular Web site book vendors.

Luther College Professor Wilkerson receives Janet Anderson Lecture Award
Jeffrey Wilkerson, department head and associate professor of physics at Luther College, has been named a Janet Anderson Lecture Award winner.
Wilkerson was selected as the Anderson Award winner for the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium. He will present one of the keynote lectures at the Midstates Consortium for Mathematics and Science symposium at Washington University in St. Louis, Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Luther College student Aung Ye Naing receives ELCA Herman Scholarship
Aung Ye Naing, a Luther College sophomore from Yangon, Myanmar, is one of 13 students awarded Phoebe Herman Scholarships from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The ELCA scholarships, ranging from $1,00 to $2,000, are funded by the Herman Scholarship Endowment Fund and are granted to international students attending one of the 28 ELCA colleges and universities in the 2008-09 academic year. Alumni Corner
Matt Czechowicz 02, graduated in May with a doctorate in medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Czechowicz will start a family medicine residency in Duluth, Minn. in late June.
Megan Stull 00, received the masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa in post-secondary education, student affairs. She has joined Clarke College as its assistant director of admissions.
Martha (Syverson) Gehrking 73, is retiring in June from Byron High School after 34 years of teaching.
Odell Bjerkness 56, professor emeritus at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., is the author of The Prince and the Nanny: The life of Prince Harald, now King of Norway, as Seen Through the Journal of Childrens Nurse, Inga Berg to be published in November.
