Alumni Corner

Piper MacRae-Egan ’91, BA, RN, CWOCN was awarded Finley Hospital’s “You Make a Difference Award” in June. MacRae-Egan’s nomination came from her director Jeff Jarding. He states “She always has a smile on her face and is willing to chip in and help her co-workers in the Pain Clinic and Wound Clinic if they get behind. Occasionally she will get called in on the weekend or the middle of the night and she never complains. MacRae-Egan makes every patient feel special and operates the Wound Clinic on her own. She is so dedicated to her patients that she offers her home phone number to them just in case they have questions after hours. The physicians that MacRae-Egan works with cannot say enough good things about her. A few weeks ago MacRae-Egan received a phone call from one of the physicians who just wanted to thank her for being herself and how much he enjoyed working with her. He also mentioned how she has the ability to anticipate the needs of her patients and how important th
at was.” MacRae-Egan has worked at Finley Hospital for 18 years.
