Two Luther College employees receive Staff Excellence Awards
Luther College President Richard Torgerson announced the recipients of the Luther Staff Excellence Award for 2009, honoring JoEllen Anderson and Steve Arneson at a ceremony held in conjunction with the colleges annual Staff Appreciation Day in August.

Luther College to host Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow
Anil Singh-Molares, founder and CEO of EchoMundi LLC, will present the 2009 Woodrow Wilson Lecture Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Luther College.

Jesus, Justice, Jazz concert at Luther raises $3,500 for world hunger
About 400 people from Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin gathered on the campus of Luther College Oct. 11 for a Jesus, Justice, Jazz concert tour event that raised more than $3,500 to fight world hunger.
The Luther J3 event included a kickball tournament and concert featuring musical artists Lost And Found, Agape and Rachel Kurtz, performers from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American 2009 Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Luther College alumnus Walters partners with Whitelines
Michael Walters 99, Whitelines director of business development in North America, celebrated in May 2009 the North American launch of Whitelines, a Swedish company providing innovative paper products while remaining dedicated to protecting the environment.

Bethany Bierman 95, Twin Cities-based leadership giving officer, has been named to the board of directors of Minnesota Women in Marketing and Communications (MWMC). She will serve as vice president of networking. MWMC is the professional association of choice for women in marketing and communications. Its broad range of activities and benefits are designed to attract and serve members who are from diverse communications disciplines and at various points in their communications careers.
